Don't just keep dental floss in your medicine cabinet. Keep some in the kitchen. It's a great tool. Unflavored dental floss is often better than a knife to cleanly cut all kinds of soft foods, soft cheese, rolled dough, layered cake and cheesecake.

I've put together recipes using Watkins Snack and Dip Seasonings and Watkins Root Beer Extract. There are nearly endless recipes using Watkins Extracts and Flavorings. Here are a few for your eating pleasure, Watkins Extract and Flavoring Recipes. Enjoy!

Cajun Chicken Salad
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon Watkins Granulated Black Pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 cup non-fat plain yogurt
3 cups cooked chicken, cubed
1 cup green onions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup green bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup celery, diced
1 cup fresh tomatoes, diced

Combine lemon juice, garlic, thyme, salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Beat in yogurt.

Gently fold chicken and onions, peppers and celery into dressing. Chill. Just before serving, fold in tomatoes.

Cheeseburger Bake
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1 1/2 teaspoons Watkins Organic Onion Powder
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Organic Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Granulated Black Pepper
1/3 cup ketchup
1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) finely shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
1 (7-1/2-ounce) package biscuits (10 biscuits)

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. Coat an 8-inch square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat, stirring to break up the beef. Drain off any fat, then add the onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, ketchup, and cheese; mix well and pour into the baking dish.

Place the biscuits over the top and bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden and cooked through.

Sausage and Tortellini Stew (Slow Cooker Recipe)
4 sweet Italian turkey sausage links, casings removed
1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes with basil, garlic, and oregano
1 package (9 ounces) frozen cut green beans
1 large onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Italian Seasoning
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Garlic Flakes or Granules
1 package (9 ounces) refrigerated cheese tortellini

Crumble sausages into a bowl and stir together with tomatoes, green beans, onion, Italian seasoning, and garlic flakes; place mixture in slow cooker. Cover slow cooker and cook 3 hours on HIGH or 6 hours on LOW.

When there is 20 minutes remaining, stir in the tortellini and one cup of water; continue cooking. Serve immediately. Top with shredded cheese.

Baked Rice Pudding
1 cup cooked rice
2 1/2 cups milk
3 large eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup raisins
1 teaspoon Watkins Original Double-Strength Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Ground Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Watkins Ground Nutmeg

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly grease a 9-inch glass baking dish.

In a large bowl, stir together first 7 ingredients. Spoon into prepared baking dish. Place baking dish in a large pan; pour water into the pan to a depth of 1-inch. Bake for 1 1/2 hours, or until lightly browned and set. Combine cinnamon and nutmeg; sift over top of pudding. Cool slightly and cut into squares to serve.

Orange Bundt Cake
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1-1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Pure Orange Extract
1/2 teaspoon Watkins Original Double-Strength Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon Watkins Pure Almond Extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1-1/2 teaspoons Watkins Baking Powder
1/2 cup milk

Glaze
1 cup confectioners' sugar
4 teaspoons orange juice

In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy; beat in the eggs, orange peel and extracts. Combine flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

Pour into a greased and floured 6-cup fluted tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack to cool. For glaze, combine the confectioners' sugar and juice until smooth. Spoon over cake. Yield: 6-8 servings.
